About FAQEver

Privacy, in plain language.

You can browse reviews, comparisons, guides, offers and shops without creating an account.

Reader feedback

The feedback form collects a public display name, your experience text, an optional rating, and your confirmations about experience and publication. Approved feedback displays your chosen name, text and any rating. Avoid including your email, address, order details or other private information. Submissions remain private while awaiting moderation.

Abuse prevention

The feedback service checks submissions for duplicate content and applies request limits. Requests and operational errors may appear in server or hosting logs. These controls are used to operate and protect the service, not to verify that you bought a product. Contact the editor about correction or removal of a published contribution.

Outbound click counts

We count outbound Amazon product-link clicks by day, comparison, product listing and market. The click table does not store your name, email, IP address or a persistent visitor identifier. Daily counters are capped; automated activity can still affect them. Counts are not unique-visitor or sales measurements. Ordinary shop, offer and research links are not counted by this endpoint.

Essential editorial sessions

The private editorial area uses a session cookie for authentication. Readers do not need an editorial account or that cookie to browse or submit feedback. Server and hosting log retention depends on the deployment configuration.

External destinations

A link to a shop, Amazon or a research source takes you to another website governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Affiliate destinations may use their own technologies to attribute qualifying purchases. We do not receive your retailer payment details through these links.

AI and research

AI drafting is optional and initially disabled. When enabled, only permitted research evidence is sent for drafting. Reader feedback and outbound click records are not sent to the drafting provider.

Optional Google Analytics

On faqever.com, Google Analytics starts only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand visits and page engagement using an analytics cookie identifier, page addresses, referring website, browser and device information. Your device also connects to Google, which processes network information including your IP address. Google may process this information outside Australia.

We omit URL query strings and fragments, send only the referring website’s origin, and keep advertising features and automatic form, site-search and outbound-link measurement off. We do not send reader feedback, contact details or editorial data to Analytics. Private previews and editorial pages are excluded. Analytics does not tell us which Amazon purchases you make.

Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies also expire after up to 180 days. Use “Analytics settings” in the footer to change your choice. Declining stops further Analytics measurement and removes this site’s Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already received by Google. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current visit.

Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Contact the editor at hello@iapp.au about privacy questions.
