Start with the exact product
Research identifies a model and variant before comparing its relevant specifications. In our desk collection that includes dimensions, adjustment, mounting and compatibility. Unknown measurements remain unknown, and an active fit filter excludes products missing the information it needs. Other categories use the attributes relevant to those products.
Keep evidence traceable
Manufacturer facts, independent reviewer observations and original editorial conclusions are distinct. Published recommendations link to their sources and retrieval dates. Public access to a page does not automatically grant permission to copy its reviews, text or images.
Explain the editorial decision
An editor chooses a comparison order by suitability, documented constraints and evidence. Commission rates and promotions do not decide rankings. We do not turn customer ratings into a made-up test score, and we do not present a manufacturer claim as something we personally observed.
Review before publishing
An editor approves evidence, local destinations, advantages and limitations before publication. Sourced research is labelled as such; hands-on claims require documented testing. Automated collection is enabled only for permitted sources. New research creates a separate draft instead of silently replacing an approved edition.
Treat reader feedback as another perspective
Feedback is a reader-reported experience, moderated before it appears. We do not verify purchases, and an optional reader rating is that person’s opinion. We do not turn feedback into an editorial score or publish an automatic aggregate star rating. Corrections to factual claims are reviewed against appropriate evidence.
Check shops and promotions separately
A published shop or offer must meet its own verification requirements. Offers show their conditions, expiry and last check; they can change at the retailer. A listed local product page does not guarantee stock or delivery to your postcode. Check the final price, eligibility, delivery and returns with the shop.
Know what a shortlist can establish
A match narrows your options; it cannot confirm installation or suitability in every situation. Read the exact product’s instructions and the limitations in the article. An affiliate link is a commercial link, not additional evidence that a product is right for you.
